This is the last day of freshman orientation at Carnegie Mellon.
Well I guess college life is about to start. I was not feeling confident about this first week before I came here, and now I think it is fair to say that I have made a few friends and am trying to blend in.
However, international students like me, who has never studied abroad, can find it extremely difficult to fit in. It is partly the huge cultural gap that divides people into groups. When you try to expand your horizon outside your current group, you need not only courage, but also the commitment to learning other groups’ interests.
